Living room curtains!!

I absolutely love Urban Outfitter's home items. I fell in love with these curtains and planned my whole living room theme around them. I went onto the website today only to find they were sold out!! Aaahh however I went back on this afternoon and one of the sizes were stocked again! So I took no chance and purchased 2 panels, one for each of my living room windows. I really like the way they look with one panel per window. We will be getting the thick blinds so the curtains are just for show any how!! Looks like gray and white walls for the living room!!

The total cost for the 2 panels was $62.20. $57.60 for the panels (10% off coupon code), $4.60 for taxes. And free shipping on orders over $50.00. Excellent price I thought!! Well at least for my staple piece!! :-)

Sharing a few cents....

Welcome to my blog!! We are in the crazy midst of purchasing our first home!! Waiting on the commitment letter for our mortgage then tentatively closing October 21st!! We are super excited to truly begin our live together!! The last 11 1/2 years have been crazy and wonderful but it is the next 30 that will define us!

Our house is a contemporary log cabin home that sits on 3/4 of an acre on a quite country road. It is 1404 sq feet so on the smaller side but a perfect size for us. Currently has 2 bedrooms, 2 full baths, 1.5 floors of living space and a basement that is eager to be refinished. The basement has poured concrete flooring and yellow dry wall installed, this type is mold resistant.

The first step when we move is will be to clean and paint!! I have many ideas pouring out but have not chosen one in particular yet!

Due to the expertise of my grandmother, Jeanie, at yard sales, we have a great selection of furniture that we will be bringing to our new home. Most of which is what my blog will be about, creating our home with what we already have by redesigning to fit our style!

My first project will be to redo my desk that my Aunt and Uncle got for me. It is a wooden Gunlocke desk that would have been thrown in the trash by a local University. I have a few ideas of what I would like to do to it. Most of my ideas will get me in trouble by Jeanie, as she is a FIRM believer in NOT painting anything that is wood. However, I have never been a good listener.

I hope that you enjoy my blog. Please comment and leave any ideas that you may have!!
